Mount Macedon – Camel’s Hump to Mt Towong

15 Km Medium M-5-3 This walk is designed to be more doable for more walkers by missing the tough walk up Mount Macedon itself. We start from Camel’s Hump, head over to Day’s Picnic Ground, pay a visit to Sanitarium Lake and onwards via Zig Zag and Hemphills tracks to the cairn on Mt Towong for lunch and views of the Cross. The tracks are wide and make for easy walking underfoot, but there are plenty of undulations plus a steep hill at the finish.
